Joshua Allan-Johns
My name is Joshua Allan-Johns, I am a commission painter based in Christchurch, New Zealand. I started miniature painted in 2018 and since then I have dabbled in all aspects of the hobby from scratch building/kit bashing, terrain making, sculpting, and of course painting. I have won the New Zealand wide painting competition, Bamboo Brush, three times. These days I enjoy painting high level character display pieces, focussing on advanced techniques like Non-Metallic Metal and Object Source Lighting. I also enjoy painting heavily weathered mechs and vehicles. As an artist I enjoy taking on new challenges and pushing myself to improve, whether that's in the overall quality of my pieces or in the efficiency of my painting. I always relish the opportunity to paint something new.
